About Pray Live

Pray Live is a non-denominational prayer line open to everyone. This ministry is cross cultural and international, reaching to almost every corner of the world. People are hungry for prayer and find great comfort calling a prayer line where groups of people pray together. Many call to pray for a special need or the needs of someone else. Some call to be in prayer with others to hear others pray.

The devastation of life experiences are sometimes overwhelming; so, the prayer line is a comfort to those hurting. We live in a society where many people work excessive hours of the day and are often separated from love ones. But now, using the service Pray Live to connect lives, spirits and hearts, they can have peace, hope, and encouragement.

We live in a highly technical society where Pray Live is meeting the needs of busy people in an ever changing, ever challenging world. There are those who call from cell phones during the day and night when they need to hear comforting words. People need other people and when they connect with others by dialing a simple phone number for prayer, there is no end to the magnitude of the blessing.

Our Creed

  • We believe in God Father, Infinite, Personal, Holy, Love and Justice, the Creator and the Sustainer of the Universe.
  • We believe in Jesus Christ, the unique God-Man
  • We believe in the virginal birth of Jesus Christ, in his incarnated life, in the authority of his teaching, in his expiatory death, in his historical resurrection.
  • We believe that all men are sinners and that eternal salvation comes only through a personal faith in Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and men.
  • We believe in the Jesus Christ personal return to the Earth, when he will come to get his church, made up by those who received by faith the salvation in Christ Jesus, and demonstrate this faith through a life of obedience to the teachings of gospel.
  • We believe in the Holy Spirit, by whose grace sinners are today justified and born again, transformed in the image of Christ, brought into the fellowship of the Church (through the baptism) and sent to serve God in the world.
  • We believe in the exclusiveness of the authority of the Scriptures (The Old and The New Testaments) in matters of religion, being the Scriptures the only inspired and truly registration of God’s Self Revelation to mankind.
  • We believe that the main task of the Church is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every man and woman in the whole world.
  • We believe that the Church should be concerned with the spiritual, physical and social needs and conditions of the humankind, and that it is the Church’s obligation to do the best that can be done in order to help to meet these spiritual, physical and social needs.
  • We believe that all men and women are made under God’s image, and that every individual, independent of race, religion, sex, color, education, social status or age, has an intrinsic dignity, reason why they must be respected and served, and never exploited.
  • We believe that because man was created by God, part of his culture is rich in beauty and goodness; but because man has fallen from God’s grace, all his culture (uses and costumes) are poisoned by sin, and part of it can be of demoniac inspiration.
  • We believe that all the different cultures should be scrutinized by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, with its own criterion of truth, justice and moral values.
  • We believe that God has created the Earth, on its totality and plenitude, as mankind’s home; thus all fauna, flora and environment are an inheritance of mankind, reason why the Earth’s fauna, flora and environment are to be cared, preserved, and never destroyed.
  • We believe that God is Infinite and Personal and mankind was created as personal beings, in his “image and likeness”, with the capability of entering in a personal relationship with the Creator.
We believe that through prayer one can enter into a personal relationship with God and that prayer is an intercessory tool to move God’s heart in favor of oneself or in favor of others.
We believe there is no distance in prayer and that men should always pray without ceasing.

The Founder

Wenda Royster, the founder of Pray Live, knows the power of prayer.  This born again Christian has weathered many difficult storms in her life, which she credits to prayer and God's grace. Wenda knows that without prayer and her faith, she would not have been able to survive the trials in her life.

It was prayer that helped her deal with the grief of loosing her father to lung cancer at the early age of forty-five.  Her prayer life was the only thing that carried her through the pain of loosing her brother at the age of 33 in 1993 and her only sister at 48 in 1995.  In 1996, she had the responsibility of planning the funeral and burial of her brother in-law which resulted in her niece and nephew having lost both parents within a year.  In 1998, she was struck in the head and that injury resulted in six hours of brain surgery; six months later her mother's leg was amputated.  Wenda will quickly tell you her testimony about prayer and that it was only God's grace and mercy that helped her to see light through clouds of grief and sadness.

So God led her to develop a prayer meeting at her church.  Once when the weather was bad and no one was able to travel to the church, she told the group they would have prayer over the phone and that initiated the birth of Pray Live. Now, Pray Live has grown nationally and internationally, with groups praying together from all denominations, faiths, races, and ages.
